Lake, River and Canal Fishing in Morbihan
This is a very popular tourist area, not only because of the architectural wonders, the natural beauty and the serenity you will find away from the crowded beaches, but also it has a great attraction for fishermen. More than a third of the fishermen in Morbihan are visitors from outside the department. More than 10,000 visitors per year fish in 16 or more lakes, over thirty rivers and the Nantes-Brest Canal.
Within a short walking distance of Camping du Moulin Neuf is a 50 acre lake, which has carp, bream, pike, perch and trout; close by is the river Arz, which is category 1 fishing, and the Nantes-Brest Canal is a 10 minute drive away.
You will require a visitor's fishing permit which can be bought in the village from the tabac and at the Auberge du Moulin Neuf by the lake.
